SyncStep Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Location. SyncStep uses your device's GPS position, with your permission, to place you on the game map and detect when you enter a hex containing a chest. Location is processed on your device to run the game. We do not sell location data.
• Wallet address. If you connect a Solana wallet, we receive your public wallet address to deliver the welcome airdrop and any on-chain rewards. We never receive your private keys or seed phrase.
• Game state. If you play without connecting a wallet, your progress stays on your device. Once you connect a wallet, SyncStep's server becomes the record of your account and stores, against your public wallet address: your SYNC balance, check-in streak and streak freezes, whether you claimed the welcome airdrop, your referral code and who referred you, your crew of Steppers, your daily and lifetime step totals, lifetime SYNC earned and spent, how many Syncs you have opened and Digs you have played, and a recent activity history. We never receive your seed phrase or private key.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting of personal data.
• No third-party advertising SDKs or trackers.
• No background location collection when the app is closed.

Third-party services

Map tiles are served by CARTO / OpenStreetMap; your IP address is visible to the tile server when tiles load, as with any web map. Solana blockchain transactions you approve are public by design.

Your choices

You can revoke location permission at any time in Android settings (the map requires it to function). Uninstalling the app deletes local game state. To request deletion of any server-side records associated with your wallet address, email us.

Children

SyncStep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
